Thanks again for organizing the reunions
over the years. We are all so lucky to have been touched by the
Camp Field Spirit! The slide show was awesome.
We were a bit too weary
Saturday evening. Wished we could have visited more with
every one. The hike to Colchuck zapped (me).
Hopefully next time around we'll be well rested and have more time to
catch up with folks.
Sharing our memories of CYO
Camp Field keep that magical spirit (and
appreciation) alive. Thanks again for helping us to count
our blessings.

Hello Jerry,
Unfortunately I didn't make it to the
reunion this year and I can see by the pictures that I missed a great
event. The Tall Timbers looks like a great spot and of course the
the Camp Field Staff is truly one of a kind.
As fortune would have it I ended up going
to Leavenworth the Thursday after the reunion with Governor Locke to
view the Fisher Fires. As we were flying over Leavenworth
and Icicle Creek I was constantly thinking about the great years I had
at camp and the great people that worked there. My Camp
Field memories will be with me forever and they will always
be happy ones.
Thanks for all of your hard work and look
forward to attending the 2005 reunion.

Hi Everyone!
I know I'm a little late getting to this,
due to a very hectic week following the reunion, so I hope people are
still checking back on the website for messages, because I just want to
say it was such a GREAT experience to be reconnected with all of you
and with the wonderful, funny, crazy, dear memories of Camp
Field. The reconnection with old friends like Patty Crowley
and Rita Yturri has been nothing less than a wonderful gift and
blessing! (Thank you, Jerry!!) I love you guys!!!
Thank you, Patty, for digging me up! I am so grateful
that you did so I could be a part of it all. My heart has been
stirred with ten thousand memories from a unique time and
place all it's own held tight in the very heart of my youth and
younger years. A time, a people, and a part of me that
I am so happy to be in touch with again! The bonds made all
those years ago are still there and very strong. That's so good
to know, and a very special thing to have in
this world. And I have laughed at least five
thousand laughs since beginning the reminiscing late in
June through finally meeting again in August and sharing a few
days together with you all. To see people from so many
years ago and feel so comfortable and warm has just been so cool!
Everybody looked great and so much the same! Mark running - it
was so good to see you! You know you were my favorite
back then cuz you made me laugh so dang much, and we had many good
talks. I am sure that you are an excellent high school
teacher - the kind who's class the kids look forward to going to,
mostly because of the teacher. Mo Sullivan, my very
first Lodge Leader - you still have that bright, positive energy
and light that just pours out that I admired so much as a little 12 yr.
old camper. And Mark and Kathy Mokler - thank you so
much for your genuine warmth and openness. It means alot to
me. It was great to see you! Joan Greiner- you and Matilda,
two little cuties! Thanks for your help with throwing the
Supremes together! There's many I loved visiting with and
many I wish I had more of a chance to talk to (like Ron Honner for
one - Boof! - You look so good, and I can tell you're a great husband
and father! God bless you!) Even those I don't
know or don't know well - we all share that common tie of
experiencing a distinct and unique time and place at Camp Field,
where unforgettable memories formed along with unforgettable
and true friendships. Thank you SO much, Jerry,
for doing this!!! You're awesome!! God Bless
Everyone....until we meet again!

Hi, Jerry and everybody,
What a great Camp Field reunion this summer! It was amazing to see so
many staffers there. And don't we all look good! I was just
talking with my sister Patty on the phone the other day, and she and I
agree that we've all "matured" beautifully. Hard to believe that
it's been twenty and thirty years since we first knew one another. I
will always count the four summers I spent at Camp as among the most
fun of my life, even the summer I spent in the kitchen under the
command of Kay Zepeda, God rest her soul. I gained fifteen pounds that
summer chowing down on all the extra goodies she had for kitchen staff,
along with all the other "healthy" food we consumed in the mess hall
each session. My gosh, how did our colons survive all that starch?! Ah,
memories...Michelle Y: I still always think of you whenever I hear The
Steve Miller Band singing "Abracadabra" on the radio!
Okay...Thanks, Jerry, for organizing these reunions. It means so much
to us all. Hey, everybody, let's do it again, and try to get
some of the no-shows to join us the next time. Take care, everyone, and
God bless. Hasta luego!

I just wanted to touch base with you, and thank you for your
coordination of our CYO reunion. It was such a great
weekend! It still amazes me how we can be brought together by
that incredible place and time that we shared,... and after 25 plus
years we are still connected in such a special way! When Mo and I
started to sing together again, we just laughed because we immediately
both went to the same harmony we used to sing at camp! For me
camp was, and still is, a touchstone in my faith journey. My
spirit was formed in many ways through the activities and relationships
during those years. I am so happy to have been part of this past
reunion, and look forward to the next one!

Jerry Roth:
Many people have thanked me for organizing the staff reunions over the
past several years (my thanks to those who gave me the T-shirt and gift
certificate this year). My normal response to such comments is either
(1) It is not all that time consuming, or (2) I do it for myself as
much as I do it for everyone else. Even though the second response is
probably more true than the first response, the amount of time &
effort I put into organizing a reunion is paid back to me in full
whenever...
-- I hear Mark Running's laugh
-- I see Joan Barker's signature smile
-- I see Pete Crowley shoot someone his sideways smirk
-- I get a bear hug from Dave Belton
-- I get a chance to chat with Lynne Greiner, my first Camp
Field crush (I was a 13 year old camper at the time)
-- I hear some wry comment from Mary Jo Shannon that makes me
crack up
-- Mo Sullivan tests my tear ducts by singing "Bring me a rose
in the wintertime"
My thanks to everyone who has participated in the reunions to make them
such a big success.

Email your thoughts to me and
I'll include them.
In the future, I would like to have some sort of bulletin board system
where people can post comments freely.
